Regenerative Agriculture in Action

800+ Hectares of Rice–Black Soybean Rotation in Kien Giang

In the heart of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, Agreso is leading a pioneering regenerative agriculture project: a 1,000-hectare model of crop rotation between rice and black soybeans in Kien Giang province. This is not just a farming practice — it’s a long-term commitment to restoring soil, empowering local farmers, and redefining agricultural value.

Why Rice and Black Soybean?

By rotating rice with black soybeans, we restore balance to the soil. Rice depletes certain nutrients; black soybean, a legume, replenishes them by naturally fixing nitrogen. This cycle reduces the need for chemical fertilizers, improves soil structure, and enhances overall farm resilience.

The result:

  • Healthier soil

  • Lower input costs for farmers

  • Increased biodiversity and reduced disease pressure

  • A diversified, high-value harvest

A Scalable Model for Climate-Smart Agriculture

Our Kien Giang project is more than a field experiment. It’s a scalable and replicable model designed to show that regenerative practices can work at commercial scale. With 1,000 hectares under implementation and growing interest from partners, the project is helping pave the way for future climate-resilient farming systems across Southeast Asia.

Farmer-Led, Science-Backed

We work directly with farming cooperatives and local communities to ensure the methods are farmer-friendly, practical, and economically viable. The project is also supported by agronomists and researchers, helping to monitor outcomes, share knowledge, and continuously improve.

Looking Forward

At Agreso, we believe that regeneration starts with trust — trust in the land, in the people who farm it, and in the shared future we’re building together. The Kien Giang project is one chapter in a broader story, but it speaks clearly to what’s possible when sustainability meets scale.

If you’re looking to partner, invest, or learn more about regenerative agriculture in Southeast Asia, we welcome your collaboration.
